ETL is HERE to provide UIC College of Education students, staffs, and faculty members with the use of the ETL Computer Lab and with other technology resources.


Technical Support

ETL provides various technical supports to students and faculty members from setting up a new computer, basic computer troubleshooting to network troubleshooting. Most people who need troubleshooting are recommended to walk in with their gadgets.


Computer Lab

The Educational Technology Lab (ETL) computer lab has 25 Windows computers and 12 Macs available. They are available anytime except when the lab is reserved. We also have 2 scanner stations and printers in the lab.


a. Valid I-Card required

b. No food or drinks allowed

c. No Cellphone uses in the lab

d. No Smoking allowed


Software Help

ETL provides various software consultations from installing, renewing a license to recommending a proper software to use. Various software is provided to students and faculty members at no cost. The list of the available software can be found on ETL’s website.

Lab Reservation for Instructional Use

“For class, conference, or any other event purpose, ETL lab can be reserved at ETL’s website.”

  • The use of lab can be still available and during a weekend after the operating hours, please ensure that you have a key from the operations office (RM3335).
  • Tow large projectors available in the lab.
  • ETL Lab provides Blackboard Class Recording system provided by the ACCC.

ETL Rules

  • A valid i-Card is required in order for you to use the lab
  • No food or drinks allowed
  • No cell phone use inside the lab. 
  • Be conscious of your noise level while in the lab.  Please use your “Library voice” level.
  • Do not unplug any cables or attempt to connect any cables in the lab to your personal computer or other devices.
