PDF Rules

Do you want to print on the 44-inch or the 24-inch plotter?

All poster printing requires prior approval from the ETL Director, Ernesto Reyna.

Please email the following information only (DO NOT E-MAIL THE POSTER) to ernesto@uic.edu

1. Purpose of the poster / Project Name
2. Your name (include also faculty name if you are a student)
3. Poster size
4. Number of posters to be printed (if more than one)
5. Deadline

In all cases, One-Week advance notice is required.

44 inch

You need to provide an original document to the ETL made with one of the following programs MS Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, or equivalents. The ending format must be a .PDF or .PUB
One dimension of the document needs to be exactly 44 inches long, or there will be extra paper that you will need to trim by hand.
Email the poster file to etl@uic.edu, AFTER you received approval from the ETL Director.
One weeks’ notice to the ETL is required for printing

24 inch

You need to provide an original document to the ETL made with one of the following programs: MS Publisher, Adobe Photoshop, or equivalents. The ending format must be a .PDF or .PUB

Computer Lab

The Educational Technology Lab (ETL) computer lab has 25 Windows computers and 12 Macs available for use. They are available for use any time that there is no class in the lab. We also have 2 scanner stations in the lab available for use, one Windows, and one Mac. There are instructions posted near the scanners on how to use them and staff is available whenever the lab is open if you need additional help. There is a temporary folder setup on all of the lab machines for you to temporarily store your work. When the computer is restarted, everything on the hard drive is lost. If you are unable to take your work home with you please use the available temp folder. The ETL also operates the TeraHash Computing Center, located in the west campus. The THCC sporting state-of-the-art computation clusters to analyze multi-level hierarchical linear and non-linear modeling, complex cryptologic algorithms, and other algorithms of interest in the psychometric analysis.
